Bill Hughes
Director of Matt Mercury
Bill is a local comic book artist and filmmaker. He is also the writer/director of a new Sci-Fi motion picture entitled Matt Mercury. His other films include the classic monster feature called The Color of Blood, a kid’s television pilot called The Buckaroos, a children’s bible animation called Jesus and Kidz and an animated film entitled The Spirit of the Alamo. The later features voice performances and songs by two-time Grammy winning (Toy Story 2 and Monsters Inc) singing cowboy sensations The Riders in the Sky. The animated feature also stars TV’s Virginian, James Drury.
Bill’s comic book work includes the Star Wars Droids series by Dark Horse Comics and several of the Star Wars Essential Guide books.
Bill grew up in Pasadena Texas where many of his neighbors succumbed to unexplained chemical exposure by the time they were in their 30’s.
Heidi Hughes

Heidi is a local film producer, writer and web creator. Her films include: The Color of Blood, The Spirit of the Alamo and a new Sci-Fi motion picture entitled Matt Mercury. She also runs the illustrated children’s bible web site: jesusandkidz.com and the independent film site bamtube.com.
Heidi grew up in the Memorial Villages. She spent her summers in the Memorial Country Club where they had peppermint ice cream just for her.
Matt Lavine
Matt Mercury
Matt is the star and executive producer of a new Sci-Fi motion picture entitled Matt Mercury. Matt may be best known to Houston audiences as an intrepid meteorologist. Matt has been entertaining and informing audiences for some twenty years as the morning meteorologist, news anchor and features reporter for the Fox-owned station in Houston, Texas. Matt was also the entertainment correspondent for Fox television stations interviewing stars of hit shows like American Idol, 24, Fastlane and Firefly.
In 2005 Matt first put on his acting hat and starred in the award winning sci-fi short Matt Mercury and his Rocket Rangers. Since then, he's also starred in several other films including: Once Removed, This is America, Faces Beneath the Skin and The Buckaroos.
Science fiction lovers will remember him as the red-shirt, dead guy in the hall on Star Trek Enterprise which also starred Scott Bakula. Matt Mercury, however, will be his greatest role and the name by which he will be known throughout the Sci-Fi galaxy.

Mulkress Dunner
Chantal is a local actor who stars as the sultry half house-cat space ranger Mulkress Dunner in the new Sci-Fi motion picture entitled Matt Mercury. Her other roles have included: Erica Reid in Married Men and Single Women, Tracey in Rent a Car, Ms. Jackson in John the Angry Mover, a killing maid in Maid to Kill, Tasha in American Dream and Jesse in Dark Secret.

Lauren Galley
Lauren is the founder of Girls Above Society. She also is a popular actress who plays the impish Sparx McCoy in a new Sci-Fi motion picture entitled Matt Mercury. Her acting credentials also include Making of a Serial, Girls Above Society -The Voice of Judgment , Love Is Louder Than the Pressure to Be Perfect PSA, The Preacher's Daughter, Bad Kids Go to Hell, The Bitter Advice, The Pretty, The Lying Game (TV series), Weekend of Living Dangerously, Over Exposed, Love Is Blind, Garage Band: The Mini-Musical, Chase (TV series), Pedestrian, The Curse of Babylon and Write Your Way Out.

Roc plays the heroic and stylish starship commander Jett Lightning in the new Sci-Fi motion picture entitled Matt Mercury. Roc is an accomplished stage and film actor. His credits include: Suicide Notes, The Darq, Married Men and Single Women, As I Die Slowly, Love Line and The Cutting Room.

Rick is a local illustrator who’s done work with Space Center Houston. His role as the cantankerous Dr. Drell Syfer in a new Sci-Fi motion picture entitled Matt Mercury will be a breakthrough introduction for Rick as one of acting’s greatest stars.
Brandon Thomas
Mike Metro
Brandon plays the young Mike Metro in a new Sci-Fi motion picture entitled Matt Mercury. Brandon is one of Houston’s busiest young actors and some of his credits include: Anti-Gravity Jordan, The Prodigal Film - Universal Pictures, Trinity of Terror, You’re Freaking Me Out/Splatterfest, Crossroads, and The Bone Orchard.
Thomasid Rolls
Matt Mercury Filmmaker
Thomasid Rolls has been a professional filmmaker for 11 years, and a professional film instructor for 5 years. NASA has relied on Thomasid to train their PR department in video production on multiple occasions. He is also a panelist at this year’s Space City Con discussing his cinematography in his latest sci-fi feature, Matt Mercury (2012). He has captured footage in Africa, South East Asia, The Middle East, Canada, and domestically. His skill set includes narrative, documentary, and SFX. Thomasid also has multiple academic degrees in the motion picture industry and a relentless passion to see Houston reach its full cinematic potential.
